Actually, Phenylalanine is a perfectly safe Amino Acid that is used in a few "bad things" on the market. It's used as an ingredient in Aspartame and in antifreeze... but that doesn't make the Amino Acid itself bad.

This is normal. Some birth controls will cause these uncomfortable sort of period fluctuations in women. Why did you change from seasonique? If you didn't experience problems with that one, I would stick to it. For some women  birth control pills can be very menacing and cause more trouble than they're worth.

The ONLY reason to take this drug is if you are insulin resistant. That includes, type two diabetic, pre-diabetic, or gestational diabetic. Possibly if you have PCOS (polycystic ovary syndrome), but that's doubtful.

If it is making "this person" sick, have them discontinue its use and see a doctor. (preferably a different one). Actos, one of the two ingredients, is linked with premature heart failure. There is absolutely no reason to take this drug when there are so many safer and healthier alternatives.

You're supposed to take it a half hour before meals. Losing weight is more about healthy diet and less about drugs.

Pain Killers usually make you constipated. However soft stools are not really a serious problem even if it means wiping many more times. I have just escaped two impacted bowels, that is constipation for several days where the stool is so hard you cannot get it out, need manual assistance. I would swap this for a nice soft sticky stool any day.
